Wendy is a community based co- educational school with over 31 years of inclusive education for regular as well as special needs children. Since its inception; it is dedicated to academic excellence and the holistic development of children. Wendy house school has a long heritage of academic excellence, sporting prowess, artistic achievement and service to the community. It has been gaining titles and honors of various types and today we stand proudly as one of the leading institutions in the educational arena of Nepal. With the vision of providing "Education for All", Wendy House School, has branched off into Centre for Autism, and Wendy Inclusive School has been launched from April, 2020.
Inclusive Education is an educational approach and philosophy that provides all the students from diverse background with community membership and greater opportunities for academic and social achievement. Therefore with immense consideration for differently abled children and with the increasing demand for special need education, we would like to make it public that Wendy House School has sister concern school like Centre For Autism and Wendy Inclusive School and Vocational Training Center.
Education is a gradual process where children evolve through different stages of development. Looking into these aspects of education and also to take differently abled children along similar lines requires further research. We have created intensive learning environment. Our institution has taken upon itself the educational needs of differently abled children in the inclusive school.
Consequently, this institution is set up to meet the required needs of children with ADHD, mild autism, Down syndrome and learning disabilities. The program will look deeper into the various learning difficulties which are caused by neurological factors that alter brain function or any other malfunctioning caused by the influence of genetics and accordingly addresses these maladies through appropriate intervention program.
Our Team is trained to integrate the various aspects of inclusive education along with the regular academic curriculum to cater to the overall social, emotional and cognitive development of children with learning difficulties. Children are closely observed, guided and instructed by a team of trained teachers, counselors, and therapist, so that they can display a greater level of understanding in accomplishing daily academic and overall school activities.
The program will be implemented within regular school hours consisting of Academic, ECA & Therapies.
The mission of the Inclusive school is to inspire learning and nurture the self-esteem of children in a fast paced life. We enable the children to develop good understanding of themselves and the world around through intervention program suited for enhancing their comprehensive, conceptual and computational skills.
This is our vision to establish an institution to identify and address the current areas of learning difficulties of children. We provide the appropriate resources to build up on their basic learnings, and to prepare themselves for the outside world, pursue further education, and develop knowledge, skills and attitude for their overall growth directing them towards living a meaningful and independent life.
