When Aayush was diagnosed with autism, we were overwhelmed and didn’t know how to help him. He struggled with communication, often getting frustrated when he couldn’t express himself. The Centre for Autism Nepal has been a blessing for us. With the help of speech therapy and structured learning, Aayush can now use words to communicate his needs, and his meltdowns have significantly reduced. The therapists and teachers truly care about his progress, and for the first time, we feel hopeful about his future. We are forever grateful for their unwavering support.
Anisha has always been a bright child, but her difficulty in socializing made it hard for her to adjust in school. She would avoid eye contact, struggle with group activities, and get overwhelmed in noisy environments. The Centre for Autism Nepal not only provided her with sensory integration therapy but also introduced her to pottery and baking, which she now loves! Her confidence has grown so much, and she is even participating in small community events. The team here has not only helped my daughter but has also supported me as a mother, guiding me on how to be the best advocate for her.
Our biggest worry was whether Suman would ever be able to live independently. He has always been interested in repetitive activities but found it difficult to focus on tasks or follow instructions. The vocational training at the Centre has been life-changing for him. He now enjoys making candles and soaps, and his teachers say he has a great sense of patience and precision. He has found a sense of purpose, and we are hopeful that one day he will be able to contribute to society in his own way. This Centre has given us a new perspective and endless possibilities.
When Prisha was younger, I noticed she wasn’t responding to her name and would get extremely upset over small changes. Doctors said early intervention was crucial, and that’s when we found the Centre for Autism Nepal. Through structured therapy and their Parent-Child Training Program, I’ve learned how to support her better at home. Now, she responds when we call her, engages in play activities, and even enjoys music therapy. I cannot thank the Centre enough for giving my daughter the care and opportunities she deserves. It has been life-changing for our family.
